Brief summary about the division:
The Pediatric otolaryngology department started to work at QRAH on Feb7th2010 by the opening of the hospital. The department consists of:
• One fully equipped pediatric ENT clinic.
• An office coordinator for the cochlear implant team.
• A fully equipped audiology department .
Procedures:
- We at QRAH for children do all kind of pediatric ENT surgeries with main concern; the difficult pediatric airway cases like: the Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis,laryngeal webs,subglottic stenosis,laryngeal mucoceles,laryngeal hemangiomas etc…
- Cochlear implantation in coordination with the Otology team at King Hussein Hospital.
The specialty looks after children with ear, nose, and throat disorders such as: longstanding ear infections, recurrent tonsil infections, tonsil enlargement, adenoid problems and allergies, severe to profound hearing impairment, lump in the neck, change in the voice, airway and swallowing problem, obstructive sleep problems
• Table for clinic appointments.
• Pediatric ENT Clinic: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
• Operation: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday
• Cochlear implant clinic :Sunday through Thursday in Coordination with our Otology team at King Hussein Hospital
