Quality office Established the trauma unit since may of
2023 to develop and monitoring the insurance of quality
and safety in trauma unit .
• Quality office responsible of:
• Quality improvement initiative to monitor and the quality care provided.
• Tracking key performance indicator, analyzing outcome .
• Develop Treatment algorithm and protocol and policies.
• Training on performance improvement and patient safety protocols besides event tracking.
• Share best practices guidelines based upon our individual country’s resources.
• Ensure safety plan
Our main objectives:
* Raising awareness and knowledge of quality and safety for workers, patients and visitors through the following:
1. Assist quality development committee.
2. Disseminate the definition of quality in all departments and public areas.
3.Establishing committees to improve quality and safety.
4.Holding quality workshops.
*Introducing systems, procedures and ways of thinking that need to be changed to improve the level of quality and safety in the hospital through the following:
1.Make rounds to find out the situation and identify safety problems and services provided to patients, as well as areas that need quality improvement.
2. Review work procedures to ensure that they are carried out in an effective and adequate manner that meets the needs of patients.
3. Implementing and documenting an action plan to improve quality.
Tasks and duties:
* Develop policies and procedures for quality and safety .
* Follow up the work of the quality improvement committee in the UNIT according to priorities and participate in planning and guidance
* Providing quality publications and periodicals
* Participates in all relevant committees
* Participate in training staff members about procedures for improving quality.
* The quality office is committed to pursuing continuing education in order to increase knowledge of contemporary practices in the field of quality improvement and risk management.
* Accessing patient information and conducting documentation in patient records
Our goal:
Work and coordinate with all the committees formed in the unit to advance and provide distinguished health care of high quality to all in order to reach the highest levels of excellence, and to pass any program of excellence that is participated in in the Unit .
Accreditation program:
• The VRC ( verification of trauma center ) by American college of surgeon .
• Trauma hospital levels by HCAC
Trauma centers considered (exclusive trauma system), they are identified by "Level" designation: Level I (Level-1) being the highest and Level IV (Level-4) being the lowest
